BELLA HADID’S NEW FRAGRANCE IS THAT GOOD – AND SHE KNOWS IT

Hot on the heels of releasing her fifth scent under Ôrəbella, everyone’s favourite it-girl and model-turned-beauty entrepreneur peels back the curtain on her latest olfactory chapter.

Bella Hadid doesn’t need to drop a label name for you to know she smells exquisite. It’s almost a given – sure, she’s one of the most beautiful women in the world, with the OG unlimited face card and a wardrobe to make stylists weep, but she’s also the embodiment of what makes a public figure beloved: a rare mix of kindness, grace and warmth. In simple words, Bella is a breath of fresh air in an industry that, at times, feels bone-dry. So, of course she smells gorgeous – how could she not?

But, lucky for us, we now have proof of that. With last year’s release of Ôrəbella, she’s added beauty mogul to her already stacked CV, granting us the opportunity to literally smell not only like Bella Hadid, but as Bella Hadid would like us to. Tell me about a win.

Following the line’s impressive debut – home to four distinct scents: the fresh, briny Salted Muse (a personal favourite); the enveloping, patchouli-leaning Blooming Fire; the warm, spicy Nightcap; and the rich, jasmine-laced Window2Soul – Hadid now introduces her most personal creation yet: Eternal Roots. “I created ETERNAL ROOTS because I wanted to capture that duality of power and softness,” she tells Wonderland. “I wanted a fragrance with an earthy depth that was still bright and joyful. ETERNAL ROOTS is my tribute to that quiet strength within all of us, and to the sweetness of growth. Those moments when you feel proud, centred, and inspired to rise.”

As the name suggests, it’s the culmination of Hadid’s journey back to her roots – a tribute to personal growth and the power of nostalgia, bottled through olfactory memories of her upbringing. “It felt like the perfect expression of what this fragrance means to me. Roots symbolise strength, grounding, and where we come from – they hold us steady no matter what. And ‘eternal’ speaks to longevity, the constant growth and evolution we all experience,” Bella explains. “Together, ETERNAL ROOTS represents that balance: staying deeply connected to who you are while endlessly reaching toward your dreams. It’s a reminder that no matter how far you grow or how high you rise, your roots, your values, your story, your inner strength, are always with you.”

Developed by world-renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette of Robertet, the new creation is a multi-layered concoction of woody, fruity fragrance that opens with fresh lychee, bergamot and pink pepper; unfolds into raspberry blossom, pink sugar, suede and labdanum; and settles into a beautifully earthy base of papyrus, vetiver, birch smoke and patchouli. “ETERNAL ROOTS feels like such an important chapter in the Ôrəbella story,” she says. “Every fragrance in the collection has its own mood and emotion, and together they’re all about transforming how scent feels on your skin and in your life. With ETERNAL ROOTS, I wanted to bring something deeper and more grounded into the mix, something that feels strong and centring, yet still bright and uplifting. It’s for those moments when you want to feel calm, confident, and happy, while still carrying that spark of joy and evolution with you.”

Eternal Roots is also the most androgynous fragrance in Ôrəbella’s portfolio, which makes the choice ever more interesting – it’s comforting, nose-catching and extremely democratic, but also quietly sweet, intentional and slightly metallic; the kind that makes you want to put a crisp piece of tailoring on and stomp around dressed in confidence. “When I wear ETERNAL ROOTS, I feel instantly centred and calm, like I’m rooted in who I am,” she agrees. “At the same time, there’s this lightness and joy that lifts me, the bright notes make me feel open, happy, and inspired. It’s such a beautiful balance.”

Now, it’s time to take notes. Part of the Ôrəbella experience is the sensorial delight bottled in those beautiful gemstone-shaped bottles. The formulas are alcohol-free, built on the brand’s proprietary Ôrelixir base – a skin-loving infusion of hydrating snow mushroom and a blend of five nourishing oils (camellia, almond, olive, jojoba and shea) that serve as a light skincare step when applied.

Bella’s favourite way of wearing it, you might be wondering? “As part of a little personal ritual,” she shares. “I always give the bottle a good shake first to activate that beautiful bi-phase formula. I love watching it swirl; it feels almost meditative. Then, I spray it directly onto my skin, especially on my neck, wrists, chest, and all over my legs and stomach, so it really melts in and stays with me. I like to take a deep breath as I apply it, almost like setting an intention for the day. It’s not just about the scent, it’s that moment of grounding and happiness it gives me before I step out into the world.”

ETERNAL ROOTS is now available to buy in the UK, exclusively via Selfridges.
