With the desert weekender fast approaching, artists are plastering the highways with billboards that range from chaotic self-promo to cryptic teasers. Think cheeky one-liners and shouty statements courtesy of Gaga, Clairo, Laufey, Tyla and co.

Coachella is right around the corner, and with a royal lineup boasting Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, Travis Scott, artists are getting creative (and just a little unhinged) with their roadside promos. This year’s batch brings a healthy dose of humour and head-turners, generating buzz long before the gates even open. We’ve rounded up the funniest, smartest, and most unmistakably Coachella billboards so far – plus a few iconic throwbacks for good measure.
Lady Gaga
A power move if we’ve ever seen one: no face, no name—we know it’s Gaga. “Welcome to mayhem, dance or die?” it reads, punctuated with a little monster paw wink. Headliner status? Obviously. Hype levels? Through the roof. Consider us officially intrigued.
Clairo
Clairo’s billboard? It’s charming, literally! “I got charmed at Coachella”, a witty nod to her latest album, and honestly could it be more Clairo? A dreamy lavender matching her cool, wistful aesthetic.
Laufey
“Still struggling with my name? visit saylaufey.com to learn” paired with a hilarious self-snap is peak witty self-awareness. Talk about a call to action that actually works! Forget awkward mispronunciations – one click on the website and you’re Laufey-fluent. Honestly, our ears (and funny bones) thank you.
Tyla
Desert heat got you parched? Tyla’s got the answer. Her “got water?” billboard, a cheeky throwback to those “got milk?” ads (font and all!). Totally here for this.
Jennie
“Have you ever met Jennie” Well, have you? No need for bells and whistles, just a name, a question, and a lot of anticipation – serving us a dose of intrigue with some cool confidence. Coachella just got a whole lot more…Jennie-ous.
DJO
DJO’s bold black on yellow text “It’s Pronounced DJO” billboard is kinda helpful, kind of not. But hey, that’s our Stranger Things fave for you. DJO (Joe)’s very simple yet very on-brand promo has our excitement levels officially cranked to eleven 😉
Discolines
“Accidentally smoked that s#it now I’m playing Coachella Saturday.” – you can practically hear the shrug. This glorious unserious declaration, scrawled in what could be actual handwriting, screams “Thaddeus is here to party (and maybe still a little high)”. From accidental inhalation to the Sahara stage? We’re SO there.
Lola Young

Ditch the polite applause, Coachella. Lola Young, everyone’s favourite rising star, is ready to make it MESSY. “Come get Messy with Lola Young”. We’re there, babe.
