Known for their distinctive sound — a nuanced fusion of introspective lyrics and pulsating beats — Magic Bronson, the creative brainchild of Michael Nicastro and Matthew Lieberman, have carved out a unique space for themselves, captivating audiences since their formation with reflective themes touching on anxiety, societal observations, and personal introspection.

With their latest project, “Good Dogs”, the duo emerge from a four-year hiatus, returning with an anthemic album packed with high-energy soundscapes, driving drums, throbbing basslines, and dynamic vocals.

Spanning ten tracks, “Good Dogs” highlights the pair’s magnetic chemistry and creative range. The record opens with the bold and infectious “Conversation”, where palpable vocals ride atop a bouncing instrumental, while “The Grapefruit” blends a foot-tapping backbeat with enigmatic vocal delivery. Throughout, “Good Dogs” stands as a testament to Magic Bronson’s versatility — brimming with sharp lyricism and vibrant, effervescent production.

Reflecting on the dynamic title track, “Good Dogs” Lieberman shares, “The verses alternate between who’s in charge or metaphorically on the leash in the sense of who’s controlling the relationship at the moment. Musically it’s a 4 on the floor banger with a throbbing bass line and crunchy vintage synths.”

Boasting a kaleidoscopic wave of oscillating synths and a bumping groove-imbued beat, “Show My Teeth” hones on the group’s personal experiences, focusing on their personal adventures and the highs and lows of their tour experience, whilst subtly nodding to Paul McCartney’s part in The Beatles’ “A Day In The Life”. Lieberman reflects on the tour experience, sharing “It can be super fun and thrilling but also fairly repetitive and exhausting. We wanted to capture that feeling of rolling from one city to another and the excitement but overall blur it can be waking up in a new city everyday and having 24 hours to experience what it has to offer before you have to hit the road again.”
