Brewers Miller and music company Beatport have collaborated on a new global initiative to support rising DJs and producers.
As electronic music continues to augment its acclaim within the wider industry climate, it’s become increasingly clear that the genre needs additional support. In steps Miller Mix: a collaboration between leading Brewing company Miller and music outfit Beatport, the international initiative has been launched with aims to aid in the careers of aspiring DJs and producers from across the globe.
The incentive features a myriad of avenues of excellence: the competition element will give six electronic music producers the chance to win a career defining development package worth over €5000 and a headline slot at a local venue. As well as this, a live-streamed event series is poised to occur, which will feature global artists such as Lilly Palmer and Argy, collectives such as Sirän, and the competition winners. A six-part documentary series is also attached to the bountiful initiative, which will tell untold and significant stories from music scenes in the six features countries – Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Australia and South Africa.
