Last year marked the inception of a remarkable collaboration as the trio joined forces for an enticing teaser, merging Emotional Oranges’ hip-hop-infused R&B with Nonso Amadi’s afro-inspired sound to craft the captivating ‘Not Worthy.’ Now, the artists treat us to a full-fledged project with their latest collaborative EP, ‘Blended.’

This EP seamlessly marries the distinctive and vibrant sounds of both acts, skillfully blending their musical inspirations and genres. From the opening notes of ‘Nowhere’ to the closing chords of ‘Simple Things,’ the group showcases exceptional musical prowess and a versatile collaborative artistic approach. A standout track, ‘In My Head,’ shines in its production, where Emotional Oranges’ dynamic vocals seamlessly intertwine with Nonso’s smooth and infectious afro-pop energy, providing a taste of summer in the midst of January.

Speaking on the process of the collaboration, Nonso Amadi says “I had a lot of fun working on this project with Emotional Oranges. It was my first time in LA and the experience was amazing thanks to the EO team. Being from different parts of the world, I believe the music here is significant in pushing the barriers of genres forward. There’s a blend of R&B, Afrobeats, Soul, Amapiano and so many other musical inspirations that birthed the fittingly titled EP, ‘Blended’. I’m excited to have everyone take it in and can’t wait to perform the songs as well.”
