Based between London and Lagos, rising Nigerian artist Fasina is known for his alternative afro-fusion magic. Steadily building his body of work since 2016, he has found and perfected his experimental, one-of-a-kind, enthralling soundscape. Now, he takes things up a level with the release of his highly anticipated album, FRESHIE.

Throughout the 13 tracks on the project, which includes the hypnotic lead single “Waistline”, Fasina covers a plethora of topics — from his travels to past relationships to feelings of loneliness. Merging the incredibly personal and introspective lyrics with a playful and vibrant energy, FRESHIE is a dynamic and complex album from start to finish.

“FRESHIE by definition is an immigrant, non-belonger which essentially creates someone craving to be free within a society set up for selectiveness,” Fasina explains. “This album is an escape blueprint, from the melodies down to the language, it’s been carefully selected to include anyone who’s a fan of rhythmic fusion blends.”
