NAHKO AND MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE FT. KOTA THE FRIEND — “OK “

The act links up with the cherished alt rapper for a new cut, a positive anthem about embracing imperfections.

Working on his sound and musical identity since the age of six years old, Nahko Bear is a seasoned professional in the industry. From busking on streets and selling CDs out of his guitar case to breaking into a wider audience with his 2013 album, Dark As Night, and solidifying his expertise through live performances at Outside Lands, Electric Forest, and Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, he has carved his own way and steadily grown a loyal fanbase. Following a three year break from the industry, he and his band are back with a new era of music, delving into themes of self-discovery and identity through his distinguishable blend of soulful alt-R&B, folk, reggae, and hip-hop.

His seventh album, TRENCHES, was released last month, and Nahko And Medicine For The People have revamped key track “OK” with a new single version, featuring emerging alt-hip hop artist Kota The Friend. Blending rhythmic beats with Sublime-inspired guitars, the track is an uplifting, upbeat track dedicated to embracing imperfections. Released on World Mental Health Day, it reminds listeners everywhere that it is okay to not always be okay.
