Returning this Autumn for another blockbuster event, Homobloc is the post festival-season party of the year. Set in the iconic Depot Mayfield in Manchester, the all-day-to-night event welcomes artists, performers, spectators and clubbers to immerse themselves in one of the biggest parties of the year for the LGBTQIA+ community.
This year’s line up is amongst the most eclectic and show-stopping in the festival’s history. Headliners include 2023 Mercury Prize nominated singer-songwriter Jessie Ware, Australian indie pop trailblazers Confidence Man and Canadian electronic producer Peaches. Promising diversity sonically and culturally, the vibrant line up reflects the effervescent, vital nature of the highly anticipated event.
This year, Homobloc has also added a brand new, never-seen-before space on the roof of Depot Mayfield, which will welcome a takeover from Horse Meat Disco and host a program which includes cinema screens, acoustic performances, pop up shops and more.
Rod Connolly, promoter for Homobloc, has spoken on the forthcoming event, saying, “It’s with great pleasure we unveil the most adventurous Homobloc line-up to date. For 2023 we have straddled the edges of queer culture to introduce fresh new sounds and textures from the alternative music scene, aligning them with some of the biggest names in electronic and dance music to create a unique international party busting with nitty-gritty northern queer energy.”
