Moroccan-Italian singer-songwriter Ayia Gold was born and raised in London. After realising her love and talent for singing as a child, she went on to develop her voice further at The Brit School. Now with her own sultry sound, Gold releases her third single, “Apple Trees” — following the success of “Blue Skies” and “Missing You”.
“Apple Trees” captures a summer daydream through captivating lyrics and effortlessly powerful vocals. Combining the simplicity of a warm afternoon with the intricacies of her innermost thoughts, Gold sings a nuanced ballad about fate, love, self-discovery, and the uncertainty of the future. Vulnerable and honest, the track feels like letting go of repressed emotions and breathing in the sun after a long, cold winter. It is an introspective rebirth.
It was produced, mixed, and co-written by Max Herman, and mastered by Mazen Murad, who has worked with musicians such as Florence + The Machine and Elton John. When speaking on the song, Ayia reflects on how “sonically, Max Herman perfectly embodied this dream-like state in his musical composition, using ethereal piano and synths to create a cinematic and atmospheric mood.” Together, they created a crisp yet dreamy world that enchants, engages, and leaves you wishing you could stay there forever.
We can’t wait for more from Ayia Gold!
