You can never have too many Barbies. Especially when they’re played by stars such as Margot Robbie, Dua Lipa, and Emma Mackey.

Directed by indie darling Greta Gerwig, who made waves with her solo directing debut Lady Bird in 2017, fans have been absolutely foaming at the mouth to know more about the newest iteration of Barbie’s technicolour dream world. While the first teaser kept secrets close, we are starting to see a bit more of the movie ahead of its summer release.

The new trailer for Warner Brother’s Barbie film gives us a glimpse into Barbie Land, where you travel via rollerblades and wear matching pink pyjamas and the architecture is cotton-candy coloured. But it is the star-studded cast that define the new trailer for Barbie. Set to a Beach Boys track, we are introduced to President Barbie (Issa Rae), Workout Barbie (Kate McKinnon), several Kens, and one Allan (Michael Cera). To name a few.

The trailer follows the release of a series of posters introducing the various Barbies, Kens, and humans that join Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

We’re counting down the days until Barbie hits theatres on the 21st of July. In the meantime, we’ll listen to “Barbie Girl” by Aqua to tide us over.
