With the help of Simon Neil, Nathan Connolly releases “Fires”, the first release off his debut solo album ‘The Strange Order of Things’. Shifting through his emotional experiences, this new stripped-back version of “Fires” maintains the original fresh and alluring textures with the added vibrant notes of Connolly’s songwriting and compelling vocals, that is a beauty to hear.

Speaking on the amazing live performance, Connolly states: “It was a joy and an absolute pleasure to do this acoustic version of Fires with my brother in song, the one, the only and brilliant Simon Neil. This was the first time we actually played the song together. We had a blast. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did”.

The distinctive star beholds a unique musical history as separating from his previous project Little Matador, the artist journeyed down a new path with his solo venture, The Strange Order of Things. It is as intimate as it is collaborative, as the new album sees the star flourishing alongside the likes of Irish artist Ailbhe Reddy, as well as long-time collaborators Dave and Herb Magee (LaFaro, Little Matador, Arvo Party), Stephen Leacock (General Fiasco), Gavin Fox (Turn, Idlewild, Little Matador and of course Simon Neil. Connolly clearly owns the secret to musical success and this newest venture is proof of this.
