PREMIERE: GEISTHA – “: : E: : C: : S: : T: : A: : S: : Y” (WITH CANDY CULT)

The lofi ‘e-goth’ artist returns with electrifying single.

GEISTHA
GEISTHA

“I want you to feel something,” GEISTHA says of their work. “Therefore, I write sad songs that paint dark pictures.” As a non-binary artist, they use “heartstick songs” to help navigate the challenges they face and equally as “a gloomy source of self-empowerment.” GEISTHA says they want their music to make you feel like you’re in a “grunge coming of age movie”. Quite a vivid description, and when you listen to the entrancing “ecstasy” it’s not hard to see why.

The ‘80s kid at heart, is inspired by the decade’s canon of forward-thinking musical greats, from Depeche Mode, Annie Lennox and Joy Division. The moody, engulfing techno of “::e::c::s::t::a::s::y” exemplifies the stylistic and musical influences such acts have had on GEISTHA’s approach to artistry.

Wracking up an impressive six singles this year, “::e::c::s::t::a::s::y” comprises the latest step in their musical odyssey since last month’s “…ROCKST4RS” and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
