“The track lyrically raises two middle fingers to the liars and cheaters of the world while embodying the spirit of rock & roll,” Widows Gold say of latest single “Holy Rollers”. It’s difficult to think of a more solid modus operandi when penning a cut, and the Californian four-piece, led by husband and wife duo, guitarist Ben Sauer and vocalist Madeline Star realise their mission effortlessly.

Dissonant, enigmatic guitars, kinetic bass lines, and Star’s magnetic topline have you hooked on “Holy Rollers” from the first listen. The group, also comprised of bassist Ian Zamora and drummer Carson Ford, looks set to bless us with more of their unique cocktail of indie rock sonics via their debut album Love Drops set for release in January 2023.

Their synergy as a unit captivates, in particular when considering they only released debut song “Pretend” last year. The fourth of five singles preceding the record, “Holy Rollers” has us more hooked than ever on what’s to come next.
