Having been in the music scene for several years, Bristol six-piece Bare Jams has seen numerous evolvements that have culminated in these fuller, eclectic sonics much needed in the current popscape. Their latest single, “Rockets”, is the prime example of Bare Jams’ now refined and fully-fledged formation.
A charming brew of Reggae, Soul, and sensual saxophone phrases, “Rockets” dropped on November 4th, to coincide with their headline UK Autumn tour dates culminating in a hometown gig at Bristol’s Thekla on 25th November. The single balances lively beats to sharp, astute lyrical takes on negativity, echo chambers, fake news, and the attitude to take in the face of adversity.
“The song floats the idea that we can create the safe place that we nurture and maintain to get to our desired destinations and outcomes while spreading the love at the same time.”Ollie, the vocalist, and guitarist of Bare Jams explains. “Rockets is a homage to positive perception and optimism.”
