Having played bass for years in LCD Soundsystem, an anthem dance-punk band of the Indie Sleaze era, Pope’s musical resume is more than impressive and his knowledge and passion for club culture runs deep on the disco-infused EP “Make each other Happy”.

Awaiting the release of his upcoming EP on November 11th, Tyler Pope drops the official visuals for “Ananas”, realised in collaboration with NYC-based dance artist Jose Lapaz-Rodriguez and Interference Pattern. The latter is Pope’s Berlin-based music label, aimed at promoting and launching experimental musicians and left-field producers from all around the world.

“Ananas” appears as an off-kilter dancehall piece, characterised by percussive breaks and eerie electronic sounds. The video accompanies the cinematic track perfectly, as it films Jose vogueing in an empty ballroom, the camera following and swaying in time with his movements like in a drunken haze. The visuals accelerate, flash and superimpose shots akin to a David Lynch dream sequence, mimicking the layering of the instrumentation of the song.
