Jack O’Connell and Emma Corrin embark on a sordid love affair in Lady Chatterley’s Lover, based on the D.H. Lawrence book of the same name, due in UK cinemas on 25th November and on Netflix a week later. Tangible chemistry is at the forefront of the trailer, which shows Corrin’s Lady Chatterley fall for Oliver Mellors, the gamekeeper on the Chatterley family estate. Sauce, scandal and expert acting chops are on full display, and we could not be more ready to watch.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Avatar: Way of the Water, Elite and Succession lead our trailer round up.
Lady Chatterley’s Lover
Avatar: Way of The Water
It’s been a small 13 years since James Cameron’s monumental Avatar broke records at the box office, and now, we’re finally re-entering the planet of Pandora for the film’s aquatic-themed sequel. Due for release on December 16th, the second instalment invites us into the lives of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the challenges they weather, their battle for survival, and their willingness to protect each other. Water, its power and symbolism, as you might expect given the title, would appear to be at the heart – “The way of water connects all things, before your birth and after your death,” we hear a voice say at the trailer’s conclusion. A blend of otherworldly escapism with unbridled humanity, and we would appear to have the perfect Christmas watch.
Elite – Season 6
If you’re looking to fill a Euphoria– shaped hole in your life then a return to the lives of students at Las Encinas looks set to do the trick. Justice and revenge are front and centre, as the wrongs of season 5 are addressed and of course, new dilemmas and challenges plague the lives of the Spanish teens. From the death of Samuel, the sexual assault of Isadora, Ari entering into love again after her dad killed her ex, and Patrick (played by ) and Iván’s experience of homophobia – challenges are something these school pupils do not have to search for.
The Swimmers
Heroism and dreams realised in the face of war characterise true story The Swimmers which follows two champion swimmers who undertake a precarious journey as refugees across unpredictable Mediterranean waters to seek asylum in Greece. When their boat sinks, their world-class skills in the water become a means of saving lives, before their Olympic goals become reality when they eventually make it to the 2016 Rio games as part of the Refugee team.
Succession Season 4
Everyone’s favourite black comedy-drama Succession is returning to HBO for its fourth season and yes, we are waiting on tenterhooks to find out how this iconic family dynasty is fairing. In the trailer, we see the Roy siblings ready to turn on their merciless father, and following season 3’s somewhat cliffhanger conclusion, with siblings Kendall, Roman and Shiv joining forces to oust him, before being caught and thrown off course, we need to know whether the takedown is still on. And, luckily it won’t be long until we find out, with a release date pegged for Spring 2023. So, if you’re not caught up, seasons 1-3 would appear to be the perfect festive viewing.
Causeway
This A24, Apple TV+ film looks set to be a poignant watch, with Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry taking prime position in this story of emergence from grief. Filmed in New Orleans, the film follows Lawrence’s character adjusting to life as a former soldier returning home, as she finds comfort in a newfound friendship with Tyree Henry’s James. If the trailer’s anything to go by, this gentle but impactful watch looks set to be a tearjerker but a supremely compelling watch all the same.
Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin
Well, we didn’t know that we needed a follow-up to the 2010s Pitch Perfect movies, however, after clapping eyes on the trailer for spin-off series Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin, it turns out we’ve been craving it all along. The sweet sound of university accapella groups is back, this time, in the setting of Germany’s capital Berlin, with Oktoberfest, romance, game-changing performances, and endless harmonies on show. The Peacock shows stars Adam DeVine and features The Good Place star Jameela Jamil, so it’s safe to say we’re in safe hands. Let the sweet songs begin!
