With a rich sound and unshakeable confidence, Canadian-born Begonia is a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from her new album “Powder Blue”, “Right Here” is the latest intoxicating track from the star, mixing soul influences with a playful pop edge.

A touching tribute to friendship, “Right Here” was written off the back of a hectic year of career highs and missed birthday parties. Begonia describes the track as “a love song for all my friends” explaining “I love what I do, but the sacrifice is that you’re not really someone who can like… BE THERE physically for a lot of important (and unimportant) things back home.”

Directed by Eric Peterson, the fun-filled video sees the star adopt a whole host of colourful characters. Her earth-shaking vocals accompanying a carousel of costumes as she looks to camera, describing herself as both the devious bitch and the angel, letting us known we’re in on the joke. Calling to mind the likes of Nina Simone and Joni Mitchell sprinkled with a hint of Caroline Polachek, “Powder Blue” covers nostalgic musing on religion, virginity, gender identity and sexuality, securing Begonia stars status.
