The French leather goods company invite customers to its new space in London’s Mayfair.
Incepted in Paris in 1948, Longchamp has since built a brand that is recognised for its modern energy and savoir-faire whilst continuing to represent its heritage. Now, however, the French leather goods company brings this precedent home within their renovated boutique in New Bond Street, featuring a recreated traditional Parisian apartment.
At the heart of London’s Mayfair, you are invited to soak up the brand’s creativity and innovation within a new space, carefully designed to reflect a quintessential Parisian home, right down to the authentic workshop tables and bookshelf-inspired displays. Placing Longchamp’s products throughout the exhibit – with leather belts in an array of colours forming striped wall features at one end and cubby holes of backpacks and garments at the other – the space reflects the themes of colour and imagination that flow throughout every collection.
Speaking on the reopening of the boutique, Longchamp President Jean Cassegrain states, “It was very important for the Maison, that we bring our Parisian creative vision to the global city that is London. The space presents the brand in a new light to our British clients who know and love Longchamp and is a mark of our dedication to development in the UK market. We are delighted to be able to showcase all our creations, from leather goods and silk scarves to shoes and ready-to-wear, as the boutique beautifully combines our commitment to long-lasting craftsmanship and our desire to innovate through dynamic, creative energy.”
Representing the timeless synergy of its pieces, the boutique uses strokes of dark green to mark the brand’s heritage, juxtaposing with pops of colour to represent its constantly evolving modernity. Further traces of this are detectable in one-of-a-kind pieces such as doughnut mugs and leather-coated pipes and smoking accessories.
Breathing life into the fashion world by making it accessible in totally new ways for its customers, Longchamp continues to serve not just luxury goods at its stores, but a whole experience.
