If like us, you were too excited by the prospect of Timothée Chalamet returning to our screens under the expert watch of director Luca Guadagnino, to fully believe it was true, then fear not, as we now have the visual evidence to prove it. The actor has shared the Bones & All trailer on Instagram, in which he stars alongside Lost In Space star Taylor Russell as cannibalistic lovers on the run across Reagan-era America.
Chalamet and Guadagnino’s 2017 queer romance Call Me By Your Name – aka Chalamet’s breakout role – consumed every facet of our emotions thanks to the immersive sun-lit love story of Elio and Oliver, butBones & All looks set to have a more discombobulating yet thorough effect on our senses.
“You want it darker, we kill the flame,” we hear in the trailer via the Lenoard Cohen track that forms its musical backing, and the words of Cohen himself perfectly sum up the scenes that unfold. With a deluge of snapshots presented of the pair’s antics, we see them murderous, lovestruck, blood-covered, and sensual as they act upon their insatiable hunger for blood and run from its consequences.
