“If I got everything I ever dreamed of, would I truly be happy?” Jenna Lotti says regarding new single “Skating On Saturn’s Rings”. It’s a relatable reckoning with the reality that so often we’re preoccupied with chasing happiness or success that we don’t realise it’s there when it is right under our nose. “I tend to have a “destination happiness” mindset when it comes to my career,” she says, “meaning that I never feel content with where I’m at.”

The singer-songwriter does certainly have lots to celebrate at this stage in her journey, following a stint on NBC’s hit show Songland, where she pitched her track to songwriting savant Julia Michaels. She has since released an array of singles and supported musical heavyweights including, Dan + Shay, Barns Courtney and Hunter Hayes, plus welcomed a baby amidst it all. However, Lotti is candid on her struggles with anxiety and depression, told with the emotional dexterity she exhibits on “Skating On Saturn’s Rings”, alongside her mellifluous tones and the track’s gorgeous pared-back production.
