GUCCI ATTACHE

The luxury Italian fashion house draws on the archive for 1970s-infused genderless bag.

A bag seemingly never entirely lives up to the utility we desire. From how it sits on our bodies, its volume, versatility – it’s so often suitable for the day’s setting, but surplus to the night’s.

We know the drill, and apparently so does Gucci, as they evidence with the quintessential bag of elegance and crucially, adjustability, Attache. Made for forward-thinking, 21st-century stories, but told through a reinterpretation of classic House codes and a 70s silhouette that captivated Creative Director, Alessandro Michele from the archive.

“It is its G-shaped clasp detail, with its mechanical origin, that makes it the joining link between a bourgeois spirit, typical of an object of this kind, and the functionality of the world of utility,” Michele said.

Sold in two sizes, transcending gender, and suitable for night and day, duality and more is the name of the game in Gucci Attache. The 70s are calling and we’re desperate to pick up.
