And now, the talented singer-dancer is gifting us with her new soon-to-be iconic single, “Float”. Tapping into unapologetically confident energy that is always very much needed, Mikaila’s mesmerising singles “What Goes Around Comes Around”, “Concentration”, “Masterplan”, “U Wish U Were Still With Me” and “Wave” plummeted her into the mainstream. Hypnotic and infectiously addictive, Mikaila’s newest single plunges us into a world of heartbreak and healing.

In her new alt-pop single, “Float” the Detroit native artist teamed up with notable songwriter and producer Garen Gueyikian to boldly encapsulate the inevitable rise after being let down by the one you love. Much like the name implies the incredible music video for “Float” showcases Mikaila gracefully dancing amidst water and waves. Speaking on the music video Mikaila explains, “Creating the music video was incredible! I had a vision and I took it back to my hometown in Michigan where I had my friend, Aaron Cross, film. I held an audition and casted a bunch of pre-professional Michigan dancers. It was their first music video so it was super cool that I was able to give back to my hometown and provide this opportunity for them. Michigan is full of the most talented and hungry people! It’s so cool to see your work go from being a silly vision in your head to a full masterpiece in real life!! I love the beach and being in water more than anything, so I thought it would be cool to take relationships and love and create metaphors out of water!”
