While it may only be Tuesday, the woes of the week are already resting heavily on the shoulders of some of you, and Get Set Go is here to let you know that you aren’t alone. Dropping the brand new track, “Just So Wrong”, the singer-songwriter, also known as Mike TV, gets candid as a dropped filter reveals a tongue-in-cheek narrative on the reality of a shattered relationship. Calling on his partner to lend her vocals to the dialogue-esque narrative, the lyrics are reborn and catapulted into the present, giving them a tender edge.

“Get Set Go has many songs about broken relationships where both partners soldier on because, well, that’s what you do when you’ve been together long enough. But “Just So Wrong” was the first one co-written by a whole cadre of my live-streaming audience,” explains TV. “And it was really interesting to see the pull and tug of the community as we were writing the song. They wanted the couple to remain together but also be unflinchingly honest about their issues. It made for a really fun and unique story that, ultimately, ends on an up note. My partner, Isabella, sings the female part and I think her Southern Italian accent really adds a lot. I think, with her singing, we feel like a real couple. Although, I would never, ever, not in a million years, introduce her to gas station sushi. Is there such a thing? Maybe a travel centre somewhere.”
