And, collaborating with the globally-acclaimed producer Marshmello on the feature, the track is the party-powered single our souls have been calling out for.
In light of the release, we sat with Tokischa to discuss working with Marshmello, her personal relationship with art and what is next to come.

Hey Tokischa! How are you doing?
Right now getting ready for a photoshoot.
Can you name your peaks and pits of the year so far?
My peak is everything related to my career has been going fantastic, I’m so thankful & excited! My pit I would say uhm been away from home, it’s the only part that’s not as exciting but I’m glad I’m working and making my dreams a reality
What made you pursue music?
I just felt the need of making art, been born as an artist, always pursuing to express myself, always feeling creative, this got me to the right place at the right moment, where I met my manager Raymi and we started working since he invited me to the studio.
Has it always been a passion of yours?
Art, in general, has always been a necessity, as a child I used to write songs, poetry, dance, act, draw — everything art-related.
Congratulations on the release of “ESTILAZO”! What was going through your mind when you coined the track?
I had this idea initially in English, it was a verse I wrote randomly one day, when I got to the studio with Marshmallo and he showed me that instrumental, I connected it with the verse real quick, I translated it and finished it.
What is important to you when writing music? Do you have a specific process?
I just gotta think of a concept and ideas will flow right away.
And what was it like working with Marshmello?
Nice, he’s such a sweet boy.
What do you hope people can take away from the track?
Empower themselves as free and feel powerful no matter the position they’re on, feel free to express themselves and own who they are with PRIDE.
Who would you love to collaborate with next? Who’s your dream guest?
Nicki Minaj.
And what is next for you? Do you have any goals set for the end of the year?
A lot of music it’s coming, different vibes, from Dembow to R&B to Corrido Tumbado, the second chapter of the Popola Tour in the USA next stop, Europe. A set for the end of the year would be to have every drop ready with their video and close the Popola Tour to start with a fresh tour next year.
And finally, what’s one fact about you that I can’t find on a press release?
Fun fact, I don’t use toilet paper, I use baby wipes when I pee or take a sh*t.
