Attitude. Bold lyricism. High school-bound cheerleaders-turned vampires. What more could you want from a music drop? Well, Latina girl group Bella Dose is serving up all of this and more in the music video for their newly-released track, “BITE”. A high-energy track packed full of punchy pop sensibilities and seamlessly juxtaposed by syrupy-toned bars brimming with attitude, the track situates itself as one of blended brilliance.
“We were really inspired by Doja Cat on this one,” explains the four-piece. “And we wanted to make something that showed off our range. We’ve done English records, we’ve done pop, we’ve done Bachata, we’ve done Latin records and sad songs. We wanted to give our fans a fun summer anthem that was spicy and showed our wild side.”
Of course, no new track is complete without the release of an accompanying music video. Euphoria meets Twilight here as the band, clad in deep purple cheerleader ‘fits, serves up energetic dance routines and feeds on the blood of their haters in the visuals – a typical day in high school, right? Best described by the band themselves, when talking on the video, Bella Dose claims, “‘Pretty but we bite’ perfectly captures our persona. We are soft, caring, and soulful, but if you cross us we will bite! ”
Sure to have you glued to the screen upon the first watch, “BITE” is a no-nonsense anthem set to captivate.
