PREMIERE: BERRIED ALIVE – “PEARANOID”

Tackling the complexities of mental health, husband and wife duo Charles and Kaylie Caswell drop their dark yet triumphant new track.

Though fruity in name and by nature, Berried Alive’s latest release “Pearanoid” will send you into a state of disorientation, where their sound inhabits an addictively bitter undertone. Introducing the pulse-raising track with a suspense-stricken visual, the duo are joined in the company of several masked figures. Despite their child-friendly appearance, the animal-masked figures come baring guns as a heist ensues under a chorus of biting guitars and introspective lyrics. Interrupting the violence, Charles Caswell’s vocals cut through with a vulnerability and undeniable power — proving that there is no darkness which Berried Alive cannot overcome.

On the meaning behind the track, Charles and Kaylie Caswell explain, “The song addresses paranoia, anxiety, and other mental health symptoms that many people suffer frequently. Even though deep down a person knows that he or she should be grateful for what they have, this knowledge can be clouded by poor mental health. We know a lot of fans feel this way, and want them to know they’re not alone because we believe it’s going to make a positive difference for our fans to know we feel the same way they do.”

Having made a name for themselves beyond the realms of music, Berried Alive have also fashioned themselves as a whimsical lifestyle brand. With an ever-evolving palette of commercial offerings, its anyones guess as to what the husband and wife duo will do next. To stream their new track now, scroll below…
