On the creation of the space, Vice President of Brand Development at Ten Five Hospitality Sebastian Puga says, “We were Inspired by the effortless glamour of Côte d’Azur in the 1960s, where Hollywood icons vacationed and socialised over summer spritzes in the sun. We birthed the idea of Bar Lis, to create a timeless and unique experience in Los Angeles – for our guests to be transported from Hollywood to the South of France and to experience the ultimate escape, with eclectic DJ sets and a world class jazz night every Tuesday. We created a place that feels sophisticated, where young Hollywood and hotel guests socialise.”

Amongst hosting DJs nightly as well as weekly jazz nights and bi-weekly themed jazz nights, Bar Lis are also home to Jazz Eclectic LA — a live modern jazz night which takes place every Tuesday at 8pm. Since its imagining almost a decade ago, the event has since seen performances from internationally-renowned musicians, and solidified Bar Lis as an establishment rich in history, class and prestigious entertainment.
