The Tinder Swindler
There was only one way to start this round-up, and that was with the documentary that currently has everyone in a chokehold: The Tinder Swindler. Following the story of the deceitful Simon Leviev, a conman masquerading as an illustrious diamond dealer who conned innocent Tinder-users into lending him hundred of thousands of pounds with tales of enemy threats and fake promises of love, the veil is lifted on one of the most shocking and manipulative internet scams of the modern-day. Sure to have you glued to the screen, this is an absolute must-watch if you haven’t seen it already. BRB, was are just off to delete all of the dating apps on our phones.
Inventing Anna
After endless internet chatter and countless teasers, Netflix’s Inventing Anna is finally here. Having landed on our screens today, we are finally being invited to indulge in the dramatised tale of Anna Delvey, the glamorous heiress who conned half of New York’s elite out of their riches. Set to consume us this weekend, we are hoping to enter next week with the looming question on everyone’s lips answered: who is Anna Delvey?
Death on the Nile
If lounging about on your sofa and binge-watching Netflix is not your preferred pastime of choice, the cinemas are also offering you a fresh new cut for you to enjoy. Starring the likes of Kenneth Branagh, Sex Education‘s Emma Mackey and Letitia Wright, the latest adaptation of the famed Agatha Christie whodunnit, Death on the Nile,brings adored sleuth Hercule Poirot back to our screens once more for a mission to uncover yet another deceitful killer. Set to be filled with mystery, intrigue and, well, murder, this is a movie set to have you well and truly hooked.
Love is Blind
Remember back at the start of the first lockdown, when Love is Blind sent shock waves through the internet? Well, the extreme dating show is back for a second round. After causing quite the stir with its display of blind faith, romantic risk-taking and abandonments at the alter, the reality series returns for season two in which another group of hopeful singles will embark on the social experiment where the physical is disregarded in the hopes of building unbreakable bonds, even before the cast has locked eyes. Personally, we live for this kind of drama.
I am Georgina
We all want to see how the other half live, right. Well, Georgina Rodríguez is here to show us with her new reality show, I am Georgina. Giving us an intimate look into the life of her and her infamous footballer husband, Cristiano Ronaldo, we follow the model on a journey as she contemplates her roots, candidly shares the joys of being a mother and confesses her affinity and singing and fashion. A light-hearted watch, this is the only thing that will be playing on our screens this Sunday.
