What is the saying, electronic production speaks louder than words? Regardless, Patrik Gryst’s newest cut, “Transportør” makes a bold statement, even without a set of heartfelt lyrics. With atmospheric production setting in, the producer uses his affinity for electronic music and old school sci-fi movies to create a track with an out-of-this-world tone. Chaotic at its core, listeners will be jolted between the track’s pensive synths and more ambient-yet-dystopian waves of sound, resulting in a vivid, all-consuming sonic journey which is transcendent of this world.
“I like to change the emotional state of the listener and captivate their attention, stirring their imagination,” explains the producer when speaking on the varying nature of his newest release.
With a grainy homemade music video also accompanying the track, in which seemingly mundane settings are washed over in a comic book-esque black and white haze, Gryst proves that his creativity knows no bounds as he ensures he is involved in every meticulous step of the track’s process. And, with it standing as the primary release from his upcoming EP, the new cut also holds the promise of many more captivating drops sure to come in 2022. An inventive project born from out-of-the-box thinking, Gryst’s unique release is one worthy of a watch and listen.
