BRITS BEAUTY LOOKS

Featuring Maya Jama, Anne Marie and Dave, we round-up our favourite looks from last nights event.

If you thought we were really done with BRIT content, you are mistaken. Having already reflected on our favourite moments, it’s time to delve deeper into the beauty looks that had us in awe. With YouTube Shorts collaborating as the official Digital Music Partner of the event, everyone from content creators, presenters to musicians were pulling out their beauty blenders to deliver note-worthy serves. Ever since, we have been feasting on the makeup inspiration that radiated from the red carpet.

If looks were a category at the awards, there would be no point for nominations other than the one and only Maya Jama. Having already slayed the red carpet in a black hued Monot two-piece, we were given more than enough material to analyse. However, we need a moment of silence for her face beat alone. Incorporating a smokey crease outline with feline block liner, Maya’s eyes give drama and elegance, all the way down to the gold-dusted corners. Keeping the rest of the face understated, Maya proves once again that she is the true face of effortless beauty.

Anne Marie

Anne Marie’s ankle wasn’t the only thing serving drop-dead-gorgeousness at this years event. Taking to the stage to perform alongside KSI, Anne Marie also showcased her bold warm-toned eyeshadow, which perfectly compliments her ice-blue eyes. Concentrating pigment towards the inner corners of the eye, the style acts as both shading for the eyes while also adding extra contour to the nose. Elsewhere, Anne Marie continues to beat her own nail game, gripping a mic with long clear extensions with red love-hearts painted on top to match her sequinned ruby red mini dress.

Måneskin

The fifth band member of Måneskin really is a bottle of eyeliner, as their collective look at the BRITs will confirm. Keeping things bold and smudgy across the top and bottom lash lines, the band nods to the underground grunge aesthetic that originally garnered their deserved fandom. With metallic fringing, navy latex and rose-tinted tailcoats, the group finish the look with dog-collar style chokers and pearl beaded accessories.

Oli Sykes

One thing we certainly did not see coming was Oli Sykes fronting a collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon. Blending the two personalities of our past selves, the pair sang “Bad Habits” together. Even more captivating than the performance, arguably, was the vampire-esque look of the lead singer. Sporting one red eye contact to coordinate with his blood-red shirt, Oli serves the alternative look of our dreams and nightmares.

AJ Odudu

Since the last episode of Strictly Come Dancing ended, we have really been missing watching AJ dress in diamond encrusted dresses. So when we caught sight of the presenter at the BRITs, we were glad to see her more glam than ever, with shimmer tinted skin and opalescent eyeshadow. With mermaid wet-look curls, the face is kept dewy and fresh. Over a sharp cat-eye, shimmer is painted across the lid, which catches the light at the centre. With contoured cheekbones and glossy lips, the look is as glowy as it is classic.

Lola Young

Emanating Princess Leia energy, Lola Young strips her look back to basics with ombre brows, extra long lashes and exaggerated freckles. Stealing the focus, Lola’s double pierced nose gives enough gold detailing for the entire outfit.

Abby Roberts

Never one to shy away from bold makeup techniques, Abby Roberts looked to the shapes of spider webs to create a dramatic eye look. Flushed with a neon rose hue, the shading conjoins the lids to the bridge of the nose, and is painted over with a spiky web print in black. The look not only gives the drama synonymous with Abby’s style of beauty, but also perfectly suits her freshly dyed pink locks, which hung loose and tousled over a mesh bodice.

Adeola Patronne

Having interviewed the influencer, YouTuber and podcast host Adeola ahead of the BRITs last night, we couldn’t wait to see how her final look would turn out. True to form, she came to the ceremony equipped with luxurious prints and rosy glamour. In an outfit akin to the iconic Kim Kardashian Met Gala dress, the fabric extended from the high-cup silhouette into gloves. Her beauty look – which was baked to perfection – featured softly blushed cheeks and volumes lashes. Keeping the tones neutral, Adeola lends full focus to her outfit — and we are waiting for a tutorial to achieve it any day now.

Keilidh Mua

Another content creator who blessed the red carpet and YouTube Short booths was Keilidh, who took to YouTube to document the process of her fiery BRIT look. Dying her lid a deep cherry red, she ups the volume with a fresh set of extensions, which are kept at the forefront with softly shaded lids and nude lips. The MUA is one of the many creators who were breaking down their outfits and capturing BTS footages on Shorts via #BRITsUnseen, including Adeola Patronne.

Dave

Despite the bold hair dye, glittering shadows and graphic liner, we would be doing a disservice if we did not include Dave in our final BRIT round-up. Wearing an asymmetric cut suit, the UK rapper injects subtle swag into his ensemble with silver stacked rings and a chunky steel watch — combining simplicity and detail with ease. The jet black fabric is broken up with a harness style crossover and white buckles, perfectly styled to receive his second accolade from the Academy Awards.
