Since his debut album release back in 2017, Fii3rd has quickly made a name for himself, thanks to his unmatched blend of afrobeats and R&B, mixed with his melodic take on rap. In an explosive new wave of his artistry, the California-based artist has released Son Of Imo, a riveting concoction of dreamlike synths tucked into a bed of hip-swaying afrobeats. From the pool-side party hit “For The Money” to the heavy beats of “Chop Banana”, the Nigerian-born musician showcases the impressive range of his work, proving his ambition to push the boundaries of his selected genres. After signing a new deal with Afrisounds who have worked with the likes of J Hus, all eyes and ears are officially on Fii3rd, as he strides into 2022 stronger than ever.

Talking of the album, Fii3rd says, “I’ve been working on Son Of Imo for three years now. I wanted to make an album that served as a love letter to my hometown, family, friends and of course my listeners. The album is a culmination of all that I love in music and my own personal slant on afrobeats music. Each song on the album is a piece of my mind evolved into melodies, and my only hope is that it finds a new home in the hearts of fans and critics alike. I put my all into this project, I can’t wait to have people listen to these words of a Son of Imo”.

With every track exploring tropes of love and relationships, we will be streaming the album on full blast to experience Fii3rd in all his infectious glory. Having spent three years perfecting the 18-track long playlist, it appears the artist will have us fed for quite some time.
