After what has felt like aeons, we’ve finally reached the weekend, and bringing us in the correct way is Honey Dijon with her electric new track “Work”. Ushering us into the club scene with a fierce heart-pounding bassline and smooth retro synths, the widely renowned DJ intimately captures the essence of a night out perfectly – from the heady dynamic vocal range to the steamy and slick finishes. Effortlessly capturing the same energy for the Neneh Cherry-inspired video, we are introduced to a plethora of latex Matrix-ready dancers who celebrate and stylistically envoke those unforgettable moments on the dancefloor.

“I am so honoured to share with you my next single ‘Work’, a celebration of my love of jazz that slams hard on the dancefloor” Dijon revealed when speaking on the single. “It’s a marriage of house music and sexual energy of the dancefloor from the queer underground. The inspiration for the video is an homage to the incredible work of Jean-Baptiste Mondino for Neneh Cherry’s song ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’ for the Red Hot + Blue album that raised money during the height of the AIDS crisis.”

Taken from er forthcoming LP “Black Girl Magic”, “Work” serves as the fourth teaser from the pending project, and after hearing this single we’re more than ready for the release.
