Watching: Harry Potter
If like me, you spent a very hungover New Year’s day indulging in the nostalgic scenes born out of Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, my watching portion of this week’s Wonderland Loves will come as no surprise to you. After my brother and I embraced the reunion’s waves of raw, tear-jerking revelations and heart-warming trips down memory lane, we came to the conclusion that a Harry Potter marathon was a fitting ode to the anniversary currently underway. And, naturally, it was a stellar decision. With magic in abundance and the delicious tales of good vs evil, coming-of-age and the strength of love lacing all 8 of the critically acclaimed films, I was quickly reminded as to why the films and books were a childhood obsession of mine – an obsession that has now swelled thanks to Emma Watson and Tom Felton confessing their love for each other, I might add.

These were right at the top of my Christmas wish list and, luckily, my dad came through with the goods. A glowing example of the work being done by emerging sustainable designer, Sarah O Robinson, these statement pants are a cloud-like upcycled dream which are crafted from discarded bedding. Featuring a delicate pink floral pattern and crisp white colourway, they are understated and bold in equal measure, making them a favourite new addition to my wardrobe.

Listening: Dawn FM
I have been WAITING for this one! The Weeknd is an artist that I always associate with home – a sentiment that would make sense if you had a chat with my boys, the three of whom are currently planning a listening party for the highly-anticipated Dawn FM, set to take place in the back of Zayn’s Golf later today. With my obsession with The Weeknd rooted in memories from my teenage years – an obsession that is always nurtured with trips back to Leicester spent driving around the city’s streets with my friends while his music is blaring through the speakers – you can imagine how excited I was to wake up on New Year’s Day to the news that an elaborate album roll out was being scrapped and, instead, we were set to be treated to new music in just a few days. And, with release day officially upon us and me finding myself three listens deep, I can confirm that the album is shaping up to be a firm favourite of mine.

Watching: Attack on Titan
If you know me well, you’ll know that I’m a huge anime stan – everything from Naruto to Hunter x Hunter gets rinsed and repeated at least once a year. But if there is one anime that has had me in a chokehold this past year, it’s definitely Attack On Titan. While I have been a stan for quite a while, the final season is set to drop next week which has led me to rewatch all four seasons – don’t ask how I did it, but I did. Based on Hajime Isayama’s manga of the same name, the anime takes us to a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from gigantic man-eating humanoids titled Titans. But all of this changes when two new Titans breach the wall and drive what’s left of humanity to the brink of extinction. Filled with heart-pounding fight scenes, gut-wrenching speeches and shock surprises, the show is a must for anyone wanting to test the anime waters and trust me, you won’t regret it.

Listening: BOBCAT GOLDWAV – “So I Want You” ft Kylie M Bailey
It goes without saying, but I’m always in the search of new music, and lately, I’ve been obsessed with all things pouring out of TikTok, from “Gimme More’ remixes to the resurgence of Nelly Furtado. But one that has caught my ear this week is without a doubt Bobcat Goldwav’s remix of Kylie M Bailey’s “So I Want You”. Effortlessly riding through the same soundscape of Kaytranda and Sammy Virji, the producer instantly puts you in a good mood with his latest production and with the cold winter night having us in a tight grip, we needed this.

Watching: And Just Like That
SJP, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon – and DEFINITELY Kim Cattrall – practically raised me from a young girl into a woman through my uni years. Thanks to my Sex And The City binging era, I grew up with the fantasy that I too will one day prance through the city in Manolo’s, drink cocktails with my friends at 4 pm on a Tuesday, then head home to finish a column. And though the end of the series left a gaping hole in my dreams – as a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels would in my bank balance – I was practically foaming at the mouth when HBO Max announced the SATC reboot, And Just Like That. I’ll be honest, having devoured the first four episodes, I kind of wish they’d left the gal group in 2010. Nonetheless, the nostalgia was appreciated.

Doing: Yoga
I take no pride in being basic, but when it came to my New Year’s resolutions, there was just simply no way to avoid it. Like most wishful thinkers with a belly full of turkey, I vowed that I would make an effort to exercise in 2022. After attempting a 20 minute HIIT workout (that quite literally sent me packing on a trip to A&E), I opted for a slightly safer method to tackle the party-induced pounds. Having now completed a number of Yoga With Kassandra’s online sessions, I can confirm I am a fully-fledged downward-dogging convert.

Wearing: APM Monaco Jewellery
Keeping myself draped in the very best jewels is a promise I have made to myself for the following year – and lifetime. Thankfully, Santa caught on early and left a beautiful diamanté drenched ring from APM Monaco under my Christmas tree. The piece, which takes the form of a pair of puckered lips, is channelling high-end luxury with a Solange Azagury-Partridge edge. And just like the tattoo I had done rather impulsively with my friends, I cannot take it off. With the jewellery brand ranking as one of the most affordable out there, I highly recommend paying a visit to their treasure chest, tucked in the centre of Covent Garden.

Reading: Fairy Tales by Petra Collins and Alexa Demie
Fairy Tales is a collaborative photo book by Petra Collins and Alexa Demie. In it, Demie poses as modernised embodiments of characters from fairytales and folklore, based on the tales that the pair were told as children. Demie looks amazing, as per usual, in prosthetics, and Petra manages to capture an alternative universe that’s both beautiful and dangerous. It’s my new favourite coffee table book!

Beauty: Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Powder
This powder was a Christmas present sent from heaven! Just using a little bit brightens and smooths your face with no flashback, an end result which is made all the more exciting thanks to the product’s beautiful packaging. It’s a handy addition to put in your bag on a night out to keep your makeup flawless throughout.

Watching: Tik Tik Boom!
Tik Tik Boom! is a tale based on the life story of the writer of hit musical Rent, Jonathan Larson, told in musical form through a one-man-show format, written by Larson himself. Andrew Garfield, who plays Jonathan, is amazing and like you have never seen him before – is it just me who didn’t know he could sing?! Directed by Lin Manuel-Miranda and also starring Vanessa Hudgens, it’s perfect for anyone who loves a musical and will be sure to get you in your feels.
