While the recent release of the trailer for And Just Like That may have you convinced that the resurgence in the hype surrounding Sex and the City could not get any stronger this week, think again, as HBO Max unveil the immersive pop-up experience of every fan’s dreams.
Situated in Covent Garden, the streaming service has transported Carrie’s infamous brownstone apartment into the heart of London in a bid to allow the show’s most dedicated fans to step into the shoes of their beloved columnist and immerse themselves in her New York. Complete with all of the noticeable features from the original set, including Carrie’s iconic wardrobe, of course, photo ops are in abundance and the likeness is uncanny as visitors will feel as though they really have stepped into the depths of the Big Apple. And, with the exciting affair standing as a celebration of both the upcoming launch of And Just Like That as well as the release of the Blu-rayTM edition of Sex and the City, which visitors can shop at the pop-up, the affair becomes all the more symbolic of the franchise’s timeless and iconic nature.
When speaking on the pop-up, WarnerMedia’s Country Manager for UK and Ireland, Polly Cochrane claims, “we are delighted to be bringing this pop-up installation of Carrie’s apartment to Sex and the City fans here in London to celebrate this incredible show and also look forward to the next instalment And Just Like That. I’m sure that fans will love exploring her famous apartment and I encourage everyone to book their time slot now!”
Head to warnerbros.com to book tickets for the pop-up, which will be available to visit between the 11th and 12th of December.
