It’s fair to say we’ve all been slaves to pop culture at some point in our lives. Whether it’s gasping over the latest celebrity break-up or tuning in to the new Britney documentary, it’s pervasive and all consuming and sometimes you have take a step back and realise it’s everywhere.

Originally from the St Louis suburbs, Slayyyter has taken the essence of pop culture sounds and transformed it into something nothing short of powerful with new single “Stupid Boy” featuring Big Freedia under the label FADER. It’s a pop anthem brimming with Y2K gloss and a beat so funky it’ll have your feet moving in seconds. “The entire vibe of the song reminded me of the powerful WWE divas which is where we took the inspiration for the visuals. It’s one of my favourite songs to date because I made it for fun with my friends.”

Slayyyter released her debut album, Troubled Paradise in June this year and has since been flying on up in the industry. With features on tracks from the likes of Charlie XCX and selected by none other than Lady Gaga herself for her Women of Choice playlist with Slayyyter’s track, “Mine”, she is one to keep your eyes firmly peeled for.
