Pop officially has a new prince, and his name is Tom Speight. Unveiling the warm cuts “Let The River Run” and “Feel The Night” along with their theme-creating visuals, the artist lets his fans know that his releases are much more than his beautiful melodies and acoustic instrumentation. As hazy visuals of a car-bound Tom clash with cinematic scenes filled with a vivid drama-filled narrative, it becomes clear that the artist has a thought-provoking story to tell.
But, while the music and videos for “Let The River Run” and “Feel The Night” are enough to award Tom the title of the most exciting pop artist on the rise, that is not where he plans on stopping. With the two releases in question standing as the two latest instalments of the artist’s Everything’s Waiting For You video, which is an introduction to his experimental new album of the same name, the artist makes it known that industry domination is the only end-goal for him.
“Sonically, it’s much more ambitious than Collide. I decided at the outset that I would really go for it, dive in at the deep end and write a record that requires bigger rooms,” explains Tom when speaking on the new album. “There are rocky, bombastic songs that people may not expect from me. I worried it might be a bit risky, but it’s fun to shake stuff up.”
