The weekend is here, which means that it is time to run up a new set of tunes. And, this week’s Wonderlist is filled with the souunds that we will personally be indulging in over the next few days. So, head below to enjoy projects that the likes of Tems, Lana Del Rey and RIMON have been cooking up recently…

Lana Del Rey – “Arcadia”

Lana Del Rey is back with another track, sure to send you straight into your Friday feels. In the name of furthering the buzz surrounding her highly-anticipated album Blue Banisters, the star has unleashed the tear-inducing sad girl anthem, “Arcadia”. And, this is a track that can only be described as an ode to the sound of Lana. Does it feature melancholic instrumentation with a warm, classical aura, and are the star’s infamously sombre-toned vocals the star of the show, we hear you ask! Well, the answer to all the above is yes. And, what could make the track more Lana than a set of grainy visuals featuring the scenes of the sunshine yellow outfit-clad singer giving her fans a mesmerising rendition of her latest track and falling through a hazy Milkyway?

Tai Verdes – “A-O-K” (with 24kGLDN)

The impressive milestone of topping the Billboard charts is always a career-defining moment, and singer-songwriter Tai Verdes is well aware of this. But, while many would view this success as a reason to take a well-deserved break, Tai is viewing it as the opposite, as he follows up the smash hit “A-O-K” with its remix, featuring 24kGLDN. An infectiously upbeat cut that features an animated acoustic guitar and a chant-like chorus, the track is sure to have you beaming with happiness. And, with the live rendition of the original track at Lollapalooza being awarded a cheer-filled reception, we are pretty certain the remix is deserving of a similar response.

Tems – “Crazy Tingz”

If you are trying to tell us that you haven’t been running up Tems’ summer-ready anthem “Essence” for months, we know that you are lying. Now, following on from her newfound success and feature on Drake’s CLB, the artist is here with her latest creation, “Crazy Tingz”. Serene sounding and sure to have you feeling relaxed, the star’s new song is the perfect example of Tems’ ability to blend her firey vocals with soothing production, culminating in a chart-topping sound. With “Crazy Tingz” sure to join the star’s other hits and her sophomore EP “If Orange Was a Place” on the way, it is fair to say that we cannot wait to witness the artist’s climb to the helm of the music industry.

Mimi Webb – “24/5”

Pop’s latest princess, Mimi Webb, is back with another romantic ballad. An ode to the enchanting twinkle of the piano, the haunting track “24/5” will have you mesmerised from the first note as Mimi’s soulful vocals float over whirling instrumentation. And, with this new single offering a glimpse as to what we can expect from the star’s upcoming EP, “Seven Shades of Heartbreak”, which will be gracing the airwaves on October 22nd, it only gets all the more exciting.

TUYS – “Muddy Beach”

Welcome to TUYS’ “Muddy Beach”, a place filled with electronic indie sounds and mischievous blue-faced figures. An alternative indie rock and emotive psych-pop track delivered by the four-piece Berlin-based collective, “Muddy Beach” is consuming in nature as crashing instrumentation meets choir-like blocks of sound. And, in a bid to make their latest release all the more unique, enjoy the bizarre scenes of crazed figures partaking in beach-bound dance parties and cult-like sacrifices.

RIMON – “Digital Tears”

If you are looking for an experimental sound from one of the industry’s hottest new talents, look no further than RIMON’s “Digital Tears”. Standing as a 6-track-long project that spotlights the talent’s other-worldly vocals, listeners can hope to fall hopelessly into the rising artist’s alternative realm upon first listen. And, what better way for the artist to debut her newest creations a few days early than with an East London-based listening event?

Cyfar – “Sober”

Cyfar_Official · Cyfar – Sober

Nigeria-born afro-pop newcomer Cyfar is bursting onto the scene with his new track “Sober”. With serene production laying underneath love-filled confessions that lace his bold lyrics, which the artist describes as “a powerful reminder that love truly conquers all,” all of which are delivered in the artist’s infectiously relaxed manner, the track promises to have you ready to head to the club.

SOFY – “Strawberry Milkshake”

SOFY · Strawberry Milkshake

What better way to end this week’s round-up than with the chilled sounds of SOFY’s “Strawberry Milkshake”? With production boasting a muted haze and the artist’s sickly-sweet vocals taking centre stage, you can hope to fall instantly in love with her sound, just as Tom Grennan, YUNGBLUD, Sam Fender and Arlo Parks did as they awarded her the spot in the finals of BBC’s recent Live Lounge competition. Keep shining, SOFY!
