When it comes to the world of contemporary dance, no one is doing it quite like Les Twins. Comprised of creatives and siblings, Laurent and Larry Bourgeois, the dance duo have been taking their industry by storm with slick moves that have catapulted them towards wild successes, culminating in career-defining stints on Beyoncé’s world tour, no less. Now, the pair are turning to the sumptuous world of drinks, as they look to channel their creativity into a collaboration with the coveted drinks name, Hennessy Very Special.
In a wild clashing of contemporary culture and traditions as old as time, the French cognac distiller, which made its beginnings in 1765, has looked to the duo to craft two limited edition bottles of their infamous product. Named Les Twins: Hennessy Very Special in Motion, the collaboration has looked to the wonders of motion capture technology to harness the artful movements of Laurent and Larry and manifest them as physical, tangible illustrations that hope to ignite wonder within shoppers.
When speaking on the exciting partnership, Laurent divulged to Wonderland, “I love this collaboration, it is history to have artists like Les Twins prove to the whole planet that we are loud, and we [deserve] to be on a bigger stage and represent our names. We went from nothing, came out with something, and have become everything today. Hennessy did the same thing back in the day, with nothing but love, the land, and protection.”
And, while the release of the masterfully designed bottles is an exciting prospect, to say the least, that is now where the collaboration ends. With the pair also recording and composing an energetic music video and lending their creativity to a Stéphane Ashpool-designed unisex fashion capsule, the project becomes groundbreaking in nature.
