When it comes to music, nothing compares to the warm sounds of 90s R&B. And, an artist that wants to remind you of this is Julian King as he drops his latest cut, “Gone Do”. An ode to the genre, enjoy a sample of the infamous backing of Ginuwine’s “Differences” layered under Julian’s romantic tone and a sensual production that hopes to invoke a feeling that will have you following the desires of your heart. And, as if the project wasn’t sexy enough, listeners will become captivated by the artist’s experience-driven lyrics, which are laced with romantic confessions.

“This song came out of an experience I had when I was playing Spades as I caught someone’s eye, and he caught mine. I normally wouldn’t have entertained it, but this time it felt different; this time I felt the courage to go after him,” explains Julian when speaking on the track’s lyrics. “I’m glad I did because he was feeling me the entire time — I actually got what I wanted. For too long, I sat on the sidelines and let good opportunities pass me by, but that stops now.”

While the artist’s latest cut has set him firmly on the musical map, this is not the first we are seeing of the talent. Having graced John Legend’s team on The Voice 2019 after leaving the judges speechless with a powerful rendition of “All Time Low”, Julian ensured that the tone for his career was set. So, brace yourselves for plenty more glimmering R&B track drops from the artist soon, as he looks towards a domination of his genre.
