Emerging artist Michi is serving up reality checks for those with an inflated ego and the sumptuous sounds of summer on her new R&B cut, “Talk Big”.

With lyrics focused on offering those unaware of their off-putting personalities some much-needed advice, a captivating attitude seeps out of every word that laces the track. And, as a glimmering R&B soundscape forms, the artist’s influences – which include the likes of Erykah Badu and the Isley Brothers – become instantly recognisable. With the singer’s gruff vocals offering an entrancing sultry undertone to the track, listeners should expect to be transported to Michi’s world as relaxed instrumentation guides the infectious song.

“Having this platform now, the song is a form of release and a way to call out that guy whose head is up his own ass,” explains Michi. “Some people can just be trash, and “Talk Big” is my moment to check them in the most cheeky way possible.”

Having dropped her debut EP, “Sugarbaby”, last year, the artist has seen her following rapidly increase as listeners become entranced by her sound. And, with “Talk Big” setting the tone for the future of her career, it is safe to say that Michi is in for a wildly successful year.
