Timothée Chalamet has already proved that he has an unparalleled range when it comes to acting. From his tender debut in Call Me By Your Name to his mini stint as Edward Scissorhands for the Super Bowl commercial, it is well known that he always understands the assignment. And now, news has broken that the actor is set to step into the late Gene Wilder’s shoes in the upcoming Warner Bros Willy Wonka reboot Wonka.
With Roald Dahl Story Co. and Warner Bros at the helm of the project, it has been said that Timmy will play a young pre-chocolate factory Wonka in the third big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. While there is very little information as to what the plot will entail, it’s likely it will delve into the rise of the chocolate mogul in all of his eccentric glory, with news that Chalamet will also be making his singing and dancing debut in the upcoming film.
