When it comes to heartbreak tracks, boy bands know where it’s at. From One Direction to NSYNC, pop stars have been channelling their romantic tribulations into award-winning hits since the dawn of time. Set to continue on with this legacy is pop collective TREZR with their latest track “Sober”. With a sun-soaked acoustic guitar running through the heart of the track, the group combines their romantic vocals and slick instrumental skills in a display of pop excellence. As emotive lyrics take centre stage in their latest offering, Trey, Will and Collin wear their hearts on their sleeves as they sing about past romantic struggles.

“The writing process for ‘Sober’ was fairly easy,” explains the group’s vocalist Trey. “At the time I was in a long-term relationship that slowly started to devolve into distance and dissonance. We both had our share of fights and problems, but we were still in love, until one day when it was just one of us hanging onto the relationship and the other thought it might just be the time to end it. This song is about that turning point where you start asking, ‘What went wrong? What drove us to this metaphorical cliff in our relationship, and is there anything that could be done to fix things and go back to how we were?’”

Having all made their beginnings in separate groups before coming together, the collective is no stranger to the industry. And, this fact was made abundantly clear following on from the wild reception that their debut release “Cold” received. With the group boasting both vocal and instrumental talent as well as an ever-growing fanbase, we can safely say that TREZR is on a path to pop domination.
