From Canada to Iceland to Columbia, dance-pop producer Discrete is really covering all the corners of the world for his latest euphoric single “Drown in Me”. Combing the talents of hitmaker Kiesza, Icelandic star Ouse and Columbian native Dylan Fuentes, the producer captures the ecstatic sounds of the dance floor for his new single, with a pulsating bassline and an array of shimmering synths. Taking turns telling their tumultuous stories of romance, the collective tear up the beat and take us to the dance floor that we’ve been craving so much.
“I’ve never met Ouse, Dylan, or Kiesza in person,” Discrete revealed. “They all contributed to the song remotely from their part of the world, and I think that uniqueness gives the song a special global feel. Although lockdowns put a stop to many things in our lives, they’ve also proven that passion for music will never die. This record wouldn’t have turned out the way it did if it wasn’t for the lockdowns across the world.”
Following on from his debut EP “EXPLORE”, the single marks the start of a new era for the producer, as he is hopefully due to release a follow-up project later this year.
