Meet the artist that can do it all – be it drumming for Billie Eilish or crafting dark, sinister bedroom-pop jams.

marinelli is an LA-based singer, songwriter, producer and former drummer to Billie Eilish trying to make it big in the world of song. Going it solo last year with the woozy and oh-so dreamy “Turtleneck Sweater”, the artist has been carefully crafting some of the most cinematic and captivating bedroom pop jams we’ve heard in a hot minute, and his latest track “OH GOD” is certainly no exception.

“[“OH GOD”] is about feeling intense emotions that you know you should let simmer before expressing,” he explains. The song came to be when marinelli was sitting in the parking lot of the LA court where he was doing jury duty. “I was feeling pretty upset about something in my life and I hated that feeling of ‘sitting in my car’ and feeling sorry for myself without driving or getting out.”

So, he wrote, clearing his mind of any and all romantic woes before they consumed him whole. The track’s hazier and sinister oeuvre suggests a departure from those that have come before, a natural progression in marinelli’s artistry that isn’t all blue skies and soft croons. “OH GOD” is straight-up from the heart, an outpouring of rawness that proves his upcoming EP is definitely one to listen out for, at least if you can handle it.
