It’s been a pretty dreary week, and we’re in need of some certified bops to get us in the weekend mood – luckily Jenny March has the recipe with her thunderous debut EP “Madness”. Offering a piece of herself in each track, the singer introduces us to her unapologetically vibrant personality on the EP with intimate lyricism and vivid story-telling. Creating bliss pop soundscapes throughout each track, Jenny embraces an abundance of nostalgic rhythms on the EP, filing out contemporary melodies with high-octane 80s-inspired bass lines and synths. Including uplifting single “SCREAM”, the singer takes us on a ride with intoxicating 90s-pop melodies, while she pays homage to the scene that inspired her and power couple romance.

Opening up on the EP, the singer revealed, “My debut EP means everything to me because not only did I work really hard on it, but it’s a collection of songs that I feel describes me really well, multiple personalities and all. It’s the best introduction into who I am as an artist. I opened up more than I ever have in these songs, talking about love, relationships, and my own insecurities and growth so it’s really exciting to be able to share them with the world. I hope my listeners can connect with my EP like I have connected with so many other artists’ music. I want my listeners to feel empowered, confident and not alone after listening to this EP. I hope you dance, laugh and cry to it!”

And on the video, she hopes to inspire hope in all of us – that there are better times ahead, as she elaborates: “It was written while I was feeling lost during quarantine, in search of something to make me feel happy again. I wanted to believe that something good was coming. I wrote ‘SCREAM’ about what it’s like to find that thing that makes you feel alive again, after feeling numb and alone. ”

With this EP serving as an introduction to what the LA-based singer can offer, we’re curious to see what else she has in store for us in the coming months.
