We don’t know about you, but we’re well overdue a trip away to some place far sunnier than where we are now. Though we don’t actually know when that’ll be, it’s a good shout that New Zealand power-pop duo Foley can take us there with the power of music.

On their sophomore EP, Vacation, these two best friends are at their most fun-loving, penning hits on everything from to their innermost personal thoughts and feelings to the prospect of newfound love. Rhythms are upbeat, melodies dripping in shimmery pop, with the earworms out in droves as they corrupt your mind through ballads (“Better Than Love”) and Disco anthems (“Rendezvous”) alike – so expect to have your head bopping for an eternity.

“Anything Before You” is the project’s pièce de résistance, a chance for the pair to check in with each other and affirm the extremely mutual feeling of being overwhelmed, not only by their emotions but life itself. “As much as there’s power in being confident by yourself, there’s definitely power in accepting someone else and it’s reassuring to embrace that new reality for no reason other than the fact it makes you feel good,” Foley explain of the track’s funky, romantic message.
