Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell

It’s hard to believe it’s been 24 years since the death of iconic rap pioneer Notorious B.I.G. Having blessed us with “Hypnotised” and “Big Pop”, the rapper rose to become one of the greatest rappers of all time, and now we’re getting an insight into his life at the hands of long-time friend Sean “Diddy” Combs and mother Violetta Wallace. Landing on Netflix March 1st, the documentary will follow his rise to fame with rare behind-the-scenes footage and testimonies from some of his closest friends and families.

Generation

Now we’ve completed We Are Who We Are, we’re now back in the void Euphoria has left us in since 2019 and we’re desperately craving some teen high school drama. Enter HBO Max’s Generation. Featuring Spring 20 star Justice Smith and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, the series follows a group of students who explore their sexuality in a modern world. With their beliefs tested by their conservative community, the group are left to navigate their relationships through toxic social media threads and harrowing rumours. Think The O.C. but with TikTok and a diverse cast.

After: We Fell

#Hessas, get ready because we’re going back into the world of Tessa and Hardin for the final After. After a rocky break-up period in After We Collided, the young couple have taken their relationship to the next level in the new film, making up for lost time. But if the book is anything to go by, we’re in for another dramatic rollercoaster, when Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) discovers Tessa’s long-buried secret. With no release date set, we’re hoping to get a much-needed dose of the couple before the year ends.

Justice League: Snyder Cut

It’s been almost four years since the catastrophic failure of DC’s Justice League. With mixed reviews and a heavily criticised plot, the film bombed at the box office, which caused Snyder to come out and say it wasn’t his original version of the film. Now we know what you’re thinking, why would a director release a film he didn’t approve? During post-production, Snyder stepped down from directorial duties to deal with the death of his daughter, leaving the responsibility to Joss Whedon – leading to two months of reshoots and subsequent claims of abusive and unprofessional behaviour on Whedon’s part. Due to the poor reaction of the film, Snyder announced that he would be dropping his final cut on HBO Max with Jared Leto’s Joker, Amy Adams and JK Simmons making an appearance.
