2021 is definitely the year of the comebacks with the likes of Drake, Rihanna and Justin Bieber all set to make their grand return to music this year. Riding the wave of stellar comebacks after his four-year hiatus is alt-pop maestro Michl with his new offering “Holidays”. Making sure it was worth the wait, the singer blesses us with a dreamy single, with honeyed vocals and over-warped productions. Leaving us in a hazy summer daydream, the singer pushes the boundaries of chillwave and dream-pop, entering Passion Pit and Phantogram territory.

Marking this as his first solo release since his self-titled debut EP in 2016, the Californian DJ has kept himself busy over the years, collaborating with Guernsey-born producer Mura Masa for hit single “Better With You” and performing with Billie Eilish. With over hundreds of millions of streams worldwide, it comes as no surprise that his return is currently shaking the electronica world.
