Having laid low over the past few years, singer Plaid Brixx made his come back last year and showing no signs of slowing down with this release of his new single “Addicted”. Immediately hooking us in with a smooth guitar solo, Brixx erupts into an indie-pop symphony filled with high energy, optimism and oscillating synths. Guiding us through with a thumping dance percussion, Brixx opens up on finding the right one, as he croons, “You’ve got the kind of face, that I can write a song about” at the hook.
Opening up in the track, the singer explained, “I wrote this song about searching for the right relationship and thinking about how love is supposed to feel when you meet your soulmate.”
First breaking onto the scene back in 2014 with a crate load of singles and EP’s ready to unleash, the singer experimented with various styles and sub-genres before finding his niche in eccentric indie-pop soundscapes. With more music set for release this year, we say keep your eyes peeled for what he has in store.
