Äkta Norr is the Manchester-based label on the lips of England’s most fashionable lovers of menswear. Headed up by Mark Rigby and Creative Director Olly Lloyd-Taylor, the brand is all about the Northern heritage, looking not only at where we’ve been in design, but also where we’re going.

Having unveiled their forthcoming Made In England collection towards the end of 2020, Rigby was inspired by boxy workwear that stresses style, function and resilience in equal parts. Combining creative pattern cutting with conscious practices in terms of the environment, Rigby then devised the label’s latest wares to work as a complete layering system, with each item being made to compliment another pairing.

Masterfully sewn in Äkta Norr’s Manchester lab, their intimate team worked tirelessly in crafting unique trousers, smocks, signature shirts and utility vests in colourways ranging from Midnight Blue to Natural Cotton and Olive Green. The latter is now considered one of the brand’s staple pieces, boasting premium Huddersfield Wool in its construction as an ode to the cities once-booming textiles industry

Between sourcing the highest quality raw materials and achieving expert-level finishes, Akta Norr’s Made In England collection is a portrait of passion and craftsmanship that proves Britain is second to none when it comes to menswear, and we can’t wait to see what else they’ve got hidden under their sleeves.
